![]() There was one step missing that they don't tell you - you need to wait until you get the "all loaded" message from Green One. They said they landed and were picking up wounded and dropping off supplies. ![]() They got there and I told them to Medivac. I had the same thing happen the first time I played this mission and I realized that I missed one step in the evac. This was likely not the game's fault and more user error. It's a shame as I really want to like this game, but probably going to stop playing now. Just had to double check this game wasn't early-access, seems like quite an early level to have such clear issues, definitely should have been caught in testing. ![]() Originally posted by Tomfool:Don't believe mission victory is based off simply recovering the wounded anymore, I had no more wounded to collect at the 3 Allied units and the game continued as my men were again overrun by vietcong infantry, the artillery support event didn't trigger this time even though I had sustained over 30 casualties over the course of the mission, so I had no real way of countering them, seems like a bug. Rest of the game I've experienced so far is really promising and well executed, so well done, I just think this level could use a review as it is one of the first experiences new players will have and will paint their first opinion of Radio Commander. Please take a look at this, I've only sat through this 9 times because I want to see further into the campaign, I doubt all players will be as persistent as I was. Highly confusing and made even guessing where casualties may remain impossible. This means they have an empty helicopter and only load a portion of the casualties they have, leaving space in the heli and casualties on the ground. What is weird is I can send Green One to one of the allied units empty of cargo, tell them to load casualties, then send them to another unit and do the same (which means there was still space in the helicopter), yet when I send them back to the first unit I visited they will still find more casualties to collect. I suggest adding the ability to radio these units, or at least send voice lines such as "Thanks for the assist, we still have more wounded here so come back ASAP." and "That's the last of the wounded here, unit A and B say they still have casualties". There is no way to know which allied units need medevacs after you have visited them all once, you have no option but to guess and send your heli between all the locations. I am an experienced RTS/Strategy gamer and tried a variety of strategies, its my opinion that this map is unbalanced for the 'challenging fights' mode and might need to be revisited by the devs.īesides the balancing issues, the problems with C-Company are universal to whatever difficulty you play on. In the end I switched off 'challenging fights' and my units destroyed the incoming attack with minimal need of support, I maybe used artillery twice. If I had a third platoon which I could use to support badly hit parts of the line perhaps I could make it work, but it seems like the combat on this map is simply meant to be a tutorial where you sit in a position and call in artillery. ![]() It seems that the cooldown on the artillery is too low and the strength of the enemy is too high. If units' morale got too low I would try retreat. Every single time at least one of my platoons would be overrun, this is while using artillery (if it appeared) as often as I could on sensible coordinates. Sometimes it is not a good idea (in mission 2 they have to leave their cover and run through the valley while being fired by snipers and other enemy units, so.).So I made about 8-9 attempts at this mission on veteran settings with alpha and bravo positioned in the recommended locations. So basically you are suposed to use the chopper to pick the wound soldiers (alied platoon) and bring them to the base (out of the map) wich you will have to select from the comand menu (again ,base is out of the map ,it is not the h in the ricefields)Įngaging in RC means that your forces will try to actively take the enemy position.
